SAS Tours was AMAZING! Our guides, Freddy & Delmauro were incredible. They kept us laughing, upbeat & safe during our trek & were extremely knowledgeable about the trail, the plant life and the ruins. The food was unbelievable! I still can't believe they were able to feed us that well in the middle of the Andes Mountains. And the BEST CLAP for the incredible porters. It was the trip of a life time. Muchas Gracias a todos nuestros amigos a SAS!!!!

He did a great job of balancing the serious, historical information of the archaeological sites. Personally I had a fantastic adventure in the mountains I am recommending this company. Thanks....a big hug from this place...America..

Hi team at SAS. We had a wonderful time on our Inca Trail Trek and beyond. The experience was so powerful, for many reasons. We had wonderful guides Eddy and James who were knowledgeable, fun and supportive. We had great food on the trek and helpful support from the office before and during our trip.
I suffered from the altitude from the start yet, from day 1 James was a great support. He was understanding, encouraging and compassionate for the many hours that I spent struggling on the trail. He was great company sharing history and other stories to keep me both entertained and enjoying the walk, despite my challenges with it.
I am so grateful for the care and support that I received which is one of the reasons that the trip is so memorable for me. That, the stunning landscapes, great food, the friendly local people and Inca history.
I would recommend SAS to anyone wanting to do the Inca Trail Trek.
Just wanted to say what a great time we had ! It was awesome watching the kids manage the trail so well. Our 12 year old made the trail seem easy. Our 5 year old also completed the trail on his own 2 little legs !! The porters were excellent, and the guides were great. Would definitely recommend SAS.

Everything was perfect. Easy booking, good communication to answer my many questions, excellent food and most important GREAT GUIDES. Our guides (Alex and Danny) were knowledgeable, organized, always concerned about our physical well being and LOTS OF FUN TO BE WITH!
read morewonderful experience. We had 2 different guides. One on the bus trip to Puno where we stopped at several very interesting sites on the way. We had a wonderful lunch at a nice spot. Our hotel in Puno was first class (american standard) Our trip to the islands was wonderful. We got to see and live right in the culture. We had a wonderful experience staying with our family (the beds were comfortable). Our guide Blady was knowledgeable and lots of fun to be with. I would recommend this trip and SAS.
My one suggestion is to have a planned 15-20 minute stop on the way back to Cusco to stretch, get a snack/lunch and use the restroom.
Hilbert, thanks . This is my chance to thank you again for sharing your country, your culture, your thoughts and your friendship with me while I was in Peru. It turns out that one of my daughter Sara's good friends hiked to Machu Picchu a few years ago and YOU were her guide. It is a smaller world than we think. Good luck to you. George

I had an exceptionally good experience with SAS Travel during my stay in Cuzco of 23-28 July, 2011. Everyone in the organization with whom I encountered was helpful, friendly, and professional. My hotel stays in Cuzco and in Aguas Calientes were better than I expected and the guides on all the excursions were excellent. I will recommend SAS to all my friends who might be considering a trip to Peru. Muchos gracias !!

I don't know why it has taken me so long to post my comments about this adventure. I guess that 8 months on my kids continue to brag about it to their friends and to each other. I admit that I was really hesitant about the 4D/3N trail since we are a family of 5, the youngest being 12 and the eldest a type 1 diabetic. I have to say that the whole experience was absolutely flawless and we all had the time of our lives. We had 15 people in our group, ranging from 12 - 70 yrs and from all walks of life; by the end, we were all comrades! I have never, ever done anything so exhilarating and life-changing, and as a family! SAS Travel was top notch and we highly recommend its services. Our guides Eder and Wilfredo were extremely knowledgeable, caring and hilarious. LOS MEJORES GUIAS. We not only visited and hiked the Andes, we CONQUERED! Thank you SAS, Eder and Wilfredo for the best time of our lives and for truly making our dreams come true.

What an amaazing experience...the trek was fantastic led by our wonderful guide Valentin...everything was organised so well from the camp site to the food.
I would highly reccommend SAS Travel.
We organized a trip to join the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Scientific Discovery of Machu Picchu. Some people in our group hiked the Inca Trail, and most of the group did the Salkantay Trail. As the organizer, I chose SAS Travel because I have done the Inca and Salkantay Trails several times with them, an everytime it has been an unforgettable experience and the best service.
We are all looking forward to a prompt return to Peru to experience some of the other trails. I will be documenting more details of our trip in my blog at http://blog.epaulo.com - We highly recommend SAS Travel if you are looking for a tour operator with years of experience, well-educated guides, outstanding service, and very comfortable prices.
I would like to recommend a travel company to hike the 4 days Inca Trail with SAS travel . The head tour guide Hilbert has an extensive knowledge about the Incan people, Hilbert has a great sense of humour and made my trip fun. He made sure we had help if it was needed and we were fed extremely well. I came away with lots of information about the Incan culture.
The hike is a little bit challenging physically but is so worth it for the views alone, not to mention the great friends you make along the way.
I would love to go again some day as I have great memories of this trek.
Big hugs from Ireland

I had to write to let you know your SAS crew was amazing! The 4d/4n Inca Trail experience was everything I imagined it could be. Your crew worked so hard to make every detail perfect. I expected magic with the views, the ruins, and the history. My experience was in fact beyond all expectation and it had everything to do with how your crew delivered! Our guide, in particular, Alex, was nothing short of the best. He made the experience so much more meaningful. His knowledge, professionalism, humor, and dedication is to be commended. Thank you Alex!! I wouldn't change a thing...world class!

GRACIAS MUCHAS GRACIAS..SURPAYQUI WAYKI
I did the classic 4 day/3 night Inca Trail back in late April/early May with 3 friends, guided by Fredd Reyes, Cesar and Filio.
Highlights included struggling up and conquering Dead Woman's Pass with Filio helping me (Agua Florida really helped), sunset over Sayaqmarka, the beautiful mountains and Machu Picchu and climbing Wayna Picchu.
Fredd, with his background in archaeology, was full of information about the Incas and the various Inca sites, the local environment, astronomy and it's importance to the Incas. Cesar was hilarious and Filio helpful and patient.
Last but not least, "Team Blue" the team of porters (and Mario) were incredibly efficient and professional. I was amazed watching these guys carry such a heavy load, almost sprinting uphill like it was nothing. The food served at lunch and dinner was awesome, I'll never forget my first taste of quinoa and all of the different varieties of corn and potato.
Looking at other groups on the Inca Trail, I knew we definitely had the best service! I would recommend SAS travel to anybody without a doubt.
Hi we would like to thank Wilfredo, Rocco, Hugo & our chaski’s for our fabulous Inca adventure, after reading the Inca History book we may have to return to touch the Intiwatana! & hope the two brother’s never behave like Waskar & Atawallpa!
Pachamama was very kind to us & we will never forget the awesome mountains, we will tell our husbands (Puma’s) & children (cubes) all about the proud Inca’s.
