what an amazing trek. Javier and Raul along with the hearts and legs of our porter crew made this such a memorable experience. The rain did not sway any one of our groups intensity. Raul and Javier even carried one memeber up the first pass for 15 minutes. i loved every minute of it and would do it all again in an instant. Thank you MY FRIEND!
read moreFirst and foremost, to Hilbert and Freddie: your passion, genuine nature, thoughtfulness and knowledge brought this dream of ours alive. What started as a trip, soon transformed into a journey. The inca spirit lives on. We are overcome with emotion each time we think of you. Cusco remains our home away from home. SAS- you are well represented. Thanks to all who made this a most surreal experience.
read moreHi SAS,
We completed the 4 day Inca Trail on March 4th and we just wanted to let your potential clients know how good it was. Our guides were Jose Luis and Julio. They were amazing, so friendly. They and all the porters really made our trip. We were quite nervous before embarking on the trail because we don`t do a lot of treking, but it was all worth it. Our group of 15 were all really nice and together with the guides made us thoroughly enjoyed the 4 day trek. We`ll definitely be recommending the company to those that ask us about Cusco and the Inca Trail.
oops...forgot to thank Robyn Quintana! My group had to travel in 2 separate groups with varying itineraries and you did an awesome job arranging everything.europethank you!
read moreWe had a wonderful time hiking the Inca Trail with SAS. They were very well organized, the porters were amazing, the food was fantastic, and the guides were great! SAS even went above and beyond the specific duties included in the trek and helped us make arrangements to get to/from the airport as well as making a couple of phone calls for us in spanish to settle arrangements for our travel plans at our upcoming destinations in Peru. Thanks for a wonderful experience in Peru! I would use this tour guide again in the future.

I had one of the best vacations ever thanks to your suggestions and would reccomend your services to anyone wishing to travel to Peru.
read moreOur hike along the Inca Trail to Machu Pichhu was the fulfillment of a lifelong desire and I thank you for making the dream come true. The service provided by the porters was excellent. They are simply amazing! Their help to me on the Day 3 descent, after i injured my left knee, was heroic. The lead guide, Victor, was kind, informative, and professional. He made wise decisions each time something came up that was out of the ordinary. Erik, our second guide, was so patient. I was the slow person in a very fast group, and he stayed with me and my husband, never complaining, always encouraging, even though it took us hours longer than the rest of the group to reach camp. When I think about it, I believe that it is the guides, more than anyone or anything else, that define SAS Travel for me. Everything was perfect, but mostly because of Victor and Erik, I will highly recommend your agency to anyone who seeks adventure in Peru. Thank you again.
Kind Regards,
Erin
Just wanted to say thanks to SAS for the great time my friend Grainne and I had on the Inca trail from 8-11th Nov. Our group of 12 were lovely, the food was delicious and i discovered i really enjoy trekking! The fun we had with our guides Carlitos and Jose was brilliant, they are both very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about their jobs. I can\'t believe the work the porters do its amazing. I loved it so much that i\'m going back to South America after Christmas and will definitely recommend SAS to any travellers i meet.
PS Jose & Carlitos I have some great photo\'s that i can email on if you\'d like to see them!
read moreThanks so much to Roberto (our guide), our porters, Alberto the cook and SAS in general. A faultless experience along the Machu Picchu trail. Roberto was such an optimistic, knowledgable, enthusiastic and funny guy. Even in the rain, he managed to keep our spirits high. So happy to have spent a little more money, well worth it that´s for sure.
read moreMy partner Dave and myself did the 4 day Inca Trail on October 11th 2006. The porters were absolutely fantastic, they made us breakfast before we started walking and were soon overtaking us to get everything ready for our next stop. They encouraged and applauded us when us stragglers made it back to the camp. The food was excellent and veggies were well catered for. Our guides Miguel and Demos were second to none, it was a fantastic 4 days and we couldnt have done it without any of them.

Thanks Banderas! Also, a HUGE thanks to the porters!
Hi
I am just back in Ireland after a great holiday in South America. As part of our trip we did the Inca Trail from the 5th to the 8th of October with SAS. I would just like to say that it was a truly brilliant experience thanks in no small part to our guides Saul, Mario, the fantastic chef and the incredible porters. Saul\'s knowledge and passion for his culture was particularly impressive. I would not hesitate in reccomending your company to anyone looking to undertake the trail as it really was a magical experience.
Many thanks
Liam
I have just returned to New Zealand after a fantastic three weeks in Peru.
I want to say a special thank you to all at SAS for making the Inca Trail trip (9th - 12th Oct) such a special highlight.
From our arrival in Cusco Reuben in the office looked after us brilliantly and was always full of humour. The trek itself with Reuben and Marco was unbelievable. Reuben is a brilliant guide who deserves special thanks, the guy is a legend. He obviously cares deeply about the history of his people and his humorous, energetic descriptions were always interesting and informative. Between Reuben and Marco they looked after us at all times with people of different walking speeds and health.
Valentino the Chef produced food the best restaurants would be proud of in conditions that are challenging to say the least. The Porters work harder than anybody I know and always had a smile for us. Good Work Fellas!!
Thank You All for a trip I\'ll never forget.
I had a great time on the inca trail 04 oct until 13 oct 2006. I wanted to say a HUGE thanks for all the team Simon, Mark and Kelso and to Ozzie and the team. The guys behind the scenes worked so hard and are fantastic. SIlverio deserves another thanks as he carried a seriously ill member down from the highest pass on his back! AWESOME. I cannot praise the porters, cooks, horsemen, guides enough. A world class team - thanks
read morehad a fantastic time walking the Inca trail starting on 26 Dec 05. Our group of 15 had Roberto and Julian as guides. They were both very knowledgeable on the area and the Inca history. Roberto also managed our group and the porters extremely professionally. He was always aware of any problems in our group either with people who were struggling with walking due to injury or illness or with personality conflicts.
I was the slowest walker in our group for all the uphill sections and so spent a lot of time walking with either Roberto or Julian at the back of the group. I had a great time chatting and laughing with them. They are both very kind men. I would not have made it to the top of Dead Women\'s Pass without their encouragement and support. Also their cheerful attitude to walking in the rain each day was infectious. The Inca trail didn’t turn out to be as difficult as I expected once I followed their advice and went at my own pace instead of trying to keep up with the group.
All our porters and cooks were fantastic. Boris cooked great food for us, I never expected that we would eat so well when camping. It was great to arrive at the campsite after a few hours walking and have someone take my pack from me and then get handed a hot drink to revive me. They also surprised me by having a hot, sweet cup of chamomile tea and a sandwich waiting for me when I got to the top of Dead Women’s Pass – an excellent touch. Thank you to all the porters who tried to teach me a few Spanish words as they ran passed me several times each day.
I will have great memories from the Inca Trail for a long time
Just returned from the traditional 4 day Machu Picchu trek. Had a fantastic time. Many thanks to SAS Travel and our fabulous guides Hilbert and Banderas!

What can I say, it was amazing. I could not have been happier in choosing SAS for our tour. Victor and Omar were great guides. They were really patient when we stopped every ten feet to take more and more pictures. The food was beyond my expectations. The quality was incredible and was some of the best food I ate in Peru. I can\'t wait to return to persue another adventure with SAS. If you have any questions let me know.. Thanks for a great trip.
