Our Inca Trail Tour was absolutely incredible and exceeded all expectations! This was largely due to our guide Henrry who is so knowledgeable about the landscape, history, astronomy and spirituality of the region - he also has a really fun attitude & energy. The chef was wonderful and cooked us delicious food, it was lovely to try some peruvian classics while also accommodating our dietary requirements. All of the team at SAS were so welcoming and made our trek so special and memorable, we can’t thank you enough!!

Dayvis is the best tour guide. He is super nice, very knowledgeable and very accommodating! The whole SAS trek team is incredible and highly will recommend to all my family and friends! SAS went above and beyond in every way for our 5 day salkantay trail! Best trip ever! Highly recommend this company for the best service and experience.
Roger, our tour guide made every moment so special full of knowledge sharing, laughter, and positivity. He brought us on special add on hikes and excursions that were incredible. Oscar, our chef, prepared literal feasts for every meal that were all delicious, unique, and nourishing. Other tour groups were salivating when they saw the food we were served. Elias, quickly became our friend with morning tent wake-ups with cocoa tea, his huge smile, and incredible service for camping and meal time. All of the staff was incredible and made our experience feel like “glamping” in the most beautiful Peruvian Andes scenery.
Jonathan, made planning this trip so easy with quick responses and extreme flexibility when we had to reschedule to 2022 after the 2020 surprise pandemic interrupted plans.
It should also be noted that during our trip there were strikes going on that led to blockades around Cusco, making it difficult to get to the trailhead on day 1. However, our SAS team was the only tour company that found a way for us to begin the trip on time with commitment and creativity. We are so thankful for SAS!!
Amazing 4d/3n classic Inca trail.!
I just finished hiking the 4d/3n classic Inca trail with SAS and would absolutely recommend this company. Communication was great from start to finish - even before my friend and I booked the tour, Jonathan was extremely responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions.
On the hike, our tour guide Deyviss was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the Inca empire. He was also very accommodating for the varying fitness levels in our group, even helping me carry my backpack when I got really bad altitude sickness on the second day. Elias, the porter team, and the chef were also phenomenal, running ahead of us to ensure everything ran on schedule.
Overall, this was an amazing experience and I really enjoyed hiking with Deyviss and team!
Sacred Valley plus Short Inca Trail.!
Just finished the Sacred Valley plus Short Inca Trail 3 Days/ 2 Nights Tour. The tour was incredible and more than covered everything in the prospective. But what really made the trip was the office staff and the guide. The personal attention from the Cusco office staff Jonathan as he setup the trip just as we requested including getting tickets to Huayna Piccho Mountain at the time we wanted and arranging for airport transport and Covid testing. I had a few special needs due to age and allergies, and he made sure that they were addressed.
Our guide for the 3 days, Danny Ramirez, was both an expert guide with a deep knowledge of Inca and Spanish culture as well as the local flora and fauna, but also a personal coach, encouraging me forward yet giving me space to enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet. It was a real privilege for me and my family to spend 3 days with him. Thank you.

The lifestyle of the Aymara is one where men, women and children live without the superficial trappings of western civilisation. Working in unison with the land, lake, family and neighbors. Here, to be lazy is a sin. People will constantly be working their fields, women attending to daily chores and dressed in the most beautiful traditional garments, the men will be walking the trails drop spinning or knitting intricate patterns into their world famous woven garments. Each tells a story and you will be fascinated by each while you eat probably the best trout you have ever tasted on Taquile Island before returning to Puno!
TOUR INCLUDES.- At 06:20 am Pick up from your Hotel in Cusco and transfer to the Bus Station. Inka Express Bus Cusco to Puno guided tour (Lunch in Sicuani), Motor boat trip to Uros, Taquile & Amantani Islands, Night with the Islanders and next day return to Puno city by 5 pm. 1 Night in Hotel Qalasaya (4 Start Hotel) in Puno.) Visit to a few of the floating Uros Islands constructed with reeds before travelling on to Amantani Island.Here you will spend a night in the home of a family on the Amantani Island, where Aymara, is the language so don`t worry if you don`t speak Spanish!
At 3800 meters above sea level, just walking from the shore to the home of your host is "breathtaking"! You will be reassured just to go at your own pace and your "mama" will wait for you, but she will always be at least a few steps in front! After a late lunch, you may dare to play a few minutes of football before you feel like you only have one lung and then it is optional to walk to the top of a hill to the temple of Mamapacha (the mother earth) to watch the sun set below the lake.
Again at you own pace and obvious path so you may choose to skip the football and start in advance so you actually get there before sunset! Followed by a cultural night of fun before walking back "home". Next morning visit to Taquile Island for the beautiful culture of the famous weavers and a trout lunch to remember before heading back to Puno. Night in Hotel Qalasaya (4 Start Hotel) in Puno and end of our tour.
Approx at 6:20 am Transfer from your Hotel in Cusco to the Bus Station to travel by the Inka Express VIP service Tourist Bus to Puno. Accompanied by an English speaking Guide for tours of 3 sites along the way; Andahaylillas, Raqchi and Puka Pukara with spectacular views. (entrance to 3 sites not included = total US$8 , if you have enough with Inca sites, you can just stay on the bus). Buffet Lunch near Sicuani town. Arrival around 5:00 pm.

Floating Islands tour of Lake Titicaca. 7:00 am. Transfer from the Hotel to the port and by motor boat we take you to one of the legendary Uros Islands where you can observe the lives of the Uros people who live on floating reed islands, some only 20 metres in length. After a beautiful 3hr boat ride we reach Amantani Island where we will break into smaller groups to stay with the local families. You have the opportunity to trek to the top of the mountain (4,150 m) to see the Temples of the Pachamama and Pachatata and enjoy the traditional customs of the island people. Food and authentic music prepared and performed by your designated family.

TAQUILE ISLAND Retun to Puno overnight.
After breakfast we take a short boat ride to the neighboring Taquile island, where we will tour around the ruins and visit these beautiful people, world famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings, After lunch we take the return trip to Puno. Arrival in the afternoon and transfer back to hotel approx 5-6 pm. Transfer to Hotel Puno Qalasaya.
